Indianapolis, IND — Indiana State Senator Vaneta Becker has pledged her endorsement of Suzanne Crouch for Governor, citing their longstanding professional relationship and Crouch’s exemplary dedication to public service.
“I have known Suzanne for many years, starting when I was a State Representative and Suzanne was Vanderburgh County Republican Chair. When I became a State Senator, I encouraged Suzanne to take my place as she had already served as a County Auditor and County Commissioner. She went on to serve as State Auditor before being elected as LG. Her work ethic is exemplary as she works hard on behalf of all citizens of Indiana. I strongly endorse Suzanne as the next Governor of Indiana,” said Becker.
Becker has a rich history of legislative service. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 1981 and served in that role until 2005, when she was elected to the Senate, representing District 50, encompassing portions of Vanderburgh and Warrick counties. A respected figure, Becker has contributed to various boards and committees, including the Indiana Commission of Women and the Advisory Board of the Office of Women’s Health. Becker returns to the Statehouse on Jan. 8 at the start of the 2024 legislative session.
Suzanne Crouch is the only gubernatorial candidate who has been endorsed by more than 100 past and present elected officials in Indiana. A full list of those endorsements can be found here.
