Indianapolis, IND — Posey County Sheriff Thomas Latham has pledged his endorsement for Suzanne Crouch for Governor.
“A person who understands local and state government is extremely important and that person is Suzanne Crouch! Since 1994, Suzanne has devoted her life to public service, while maintaining her grass roots,” Latham said. “With Suzanne’s conservative values, it is a guarantee she will move the state of Indiana forward, providing incentives to draw jobs and infrastructure to this great state we call home! I have had the opportunity to work with Suzanne throughout my tenure as Sheriff, and I have personally observed her kindness and enthusiasm for the great citizens of Posey County and the state of Indiana. I proudly stand in support of Suzanne Crouch for Indiana’s next governor!”
Latham was elected in 2018 as a Democrat. In 2020 he switched to the Republican Party, citing national platform issues including Democrats urging the defunding of police nationwide. At the time, he posted on Facebook explaining his decision.
“The unity and hope once idealized by John F. Kennedy has been replaced with divisiveness and anger. Personally – and professionally – I can no longer be a member of an organization that promotes this agenda. I will not sit silently as Democrats urge the defunding of police across our nation. I will not be complicit in advocating for division,” his post said in part.
He was reelected in 2022, earning 77% of the vote.
