Indianapolis, IND — Huntington County Sheriff Christian Newton has pledged his endorsement of Suzanne Crouch for Governor.
“Suzanne Crouch will keep Hoosiers safe, and that’s why she has my endorsement for Governor. We need someone who will stand up to fentanyl dealers and career criminals. Suzanne will work with and support our brave men and women in law enforcement,” said Newton.
Sheriff Newton, elected in 2018, brings a wealth of experience to his endorsement, having started as a reserve deputy in 1995 and served in various roles, including road officer, K-9 officer, detective, and chief deputy. Assigned to the Allen County Drug Task Force, Newton has a comprehensive understanding of law enforcement challenges.
His dedication extends beyond law enforcement, evidenced by initiatives such as starting a youth camp in 2012, fostering communication and friendships between children and emergency services personnel.
Newton’s active involvement in various boards and organizations, including the Indiana Sheriff’s Association, School Safety Committee, Red Cross, Huntington County Leadership Program, and the Boys & Girls Club, further showcases his commitment to community service and safety.
