Indianapolis, IND — Former State Rep. Thomas Saunders has pledged his endorsement for Suzanne Crouch for Governor.
“I️ have worked with Lt. Gov. Crouch over the years and I️ think she is well suited to be Governor. Her experience with local and state government makes her stand out above the rest and I️ believe she is the best choice,” said Saunders.
Saunders concluded his 26-year tenure representing Indiana House District 54 in 2022. This district encompasses sections of Hancock, Henry, Rush, and Shelby counties, in east central Indiana.
Throughout his legislative career, Saunders garnered accolades for his exceptional contributions. Notably, in 2014, the Indiana Conservation Alliance honored him as the Legislator of the Year, lauding his exceptional leadership in establishing the Sustainable Natural Resource Task Force. Moreover, he earned the Distinguished Public Service Award from the Indiana Department of the American Legion in 2009—an accolade representing the Legion’s highest honor.
Before his tenure in the Indiana House, Saunders served as the Henry County Assessor, Franklin Township Trustee and as Chair of the Henry County Republican Party.
